In high school in 1961, I took freshman geometry. The class was a revelation. I learned a bit of geometry, and a lot about life. Many years later, the same lesson became an MLM success tip that helped me build income with several network marketing companies.

The reason geometry was so hot was, it was the first time I ever had a textbook with answers in the back of the book! I know that’s the norm these days, but it sure wasn’t back then.

When I realized I just had to flip a few pages to get the correct answer and save myself hours of geometric drudgery … well, I figured I knew what Edison felt like when his light bulb finally worked.

The “slide rule boys” used this helper to see if they worked the problem right. My buddies and I weren’t slide rule boys. We were baseball and football and pool hall boys.

I started homework with honorable intentions. But as soon as I hit a tough isosceles triangle or trigonometric function, I’d flip to the back of the book and check out the answer.

Of course, that wasn’t the end of the story. The teachers expected some kind of cheating, even before you could get answers in the back of the book. So they had a longstanding rule: to get credit for geometry homework, you always had to show your work.

I’m sure a lot of kids around the country did exactly what I did - they became a backward thinker. You worked the problem until you couldn’t get any further … and then you took the answer and started working backward. Then you’d meet in the middle.

That strategy works most of the time when you know the answer.

And it’s a very useful MLM success tip. You ALWAYS know the answer. You always know the result you want.

So work your problems backward.
