The Major Changes in Your Body During Pregnancy

Pregnancy occurs when male’s sperm fuses with an egg produced by female form a single microscopic cell called ‘zygote’. The zygote divides and re-divides for nine months to form around 2 trillion of different types, all packaged as a new individual. Your Baby.

During these nine months, your body undergoes various changes to provide necessary nutrition for the growth and development of your baby. Let us have a look at the major changes occurring in your body during pregnancy.

1. Changes during the First Trimester (The First 3 Months of Pregnancy)

During this period your baby’s brain, heart and lungs start forming and grows to the size of 4 inches. Your body begins to prepare itself for baby’s arrival and undergoes the following changes.

Menstrual flow: It is not as if you will not get your first period at all, you will get a spotting or very little menstrual flow. This bleeding is caused by implantation of developing egg into your uterus and is the first marker of pregnancy.

Changes in breasts: Your breasts become sensitive, tender, and heavier and begin to enlarge. Nipples become darker.

Morning sickness: You feel nauseated and vomit from 12th to 14th week.

Fatigue: You are tired most of the time.

Increase in urination: Urge to pee increases.

Uterus: The lining of your uterus starts thickening and the blood vessels start enlarging to provide nourishment to your developing baby.

Cervix: Cervix (opening of the uterus) softens; this is an important marker of pregnancy.

Weight gain: You might put on around 2 pounds during first trimester.

2. Changes during the Second Trimester (The Second 3 Months of Pregnancy)

During second trimester, your baby grows to a length of about a foot and its movements called ‘quickening’, starts. Your uterus becomes big enough and starts displacing the other abdominal organs. Most women find second trimester easiest, there being no morning sickness of the first trimester and no augmented demands of the third trimester.

You can undergo the some or all of following changes during second trimester:

Breasts: There is an increasing in the size of milk producing glands in your breasts, which enlarge your breasts.

Uterus: Enlarges to accommodate the baby.

Skin: As the blood circulation to your skin increases, you may find your skin glowing.

Palms and soles: They become reddish and itchy owing to increased estrogen levels.

Nails: They become more brittle.

Eyes: Because of fluid retention, the outer layers of your eyes may become thick, becoming noticeable by 10th week of your pregnancy. In many women, vision becomes blurry, but becomes all right after delivery.

Mouth: Your gums may become soft and can bleed when you brush.

3. Changes during the Third Trimester (The Last 3 Months of Pregnancy)

This is the period when your baby grows and develops rapidly gaining around half a pound per week and attaining its maximum length of 20 inches. The growth of baby may cause shortness of breath and there might be an increase in urination as the uterus expands.

The third trimester may bring some/all of below mentioned changes:

Abdomen: The increase in size of your uterus presses the other abdominal organs: stomach, diaphragm, kidneys and bladder, thus affecting their functions. Close to the delivery, your abdomen sags lower and your baby settles down into pelvis, preparing for birth. Abdomen may be itchy.

Acne: Women with acne may find an improvement during pregnancy.

Pigmentation of skin: In some women, dark colored areas appear forehead, nose, cheeks or chin. They fade away after the delivery.

Chloasma/Melasma: is a brown or yellowing patch over nose and cheeks and around the eyes.

Stretch marks: Pink to reddish brown, may appear on breast, abdomen, thighs, buttocks or some other body part, but go away gradually after delivery.

Pregnancy Cholestasis: This refers to reduction in bile flow and indicates decreased liver functioning. You may get nausea, vomiting, fatigue, lose your appetite and your skin might turn yellow. Consult your doctor if this happens.

Varicose veins: Dilation of veins of legs, vulva or in anal area.

Vascular spiders: are tiny reddish spots with blood vessels projecting outward resembling legs of spider. They go away after childbirth.

Increase Perspiration: Occurs because of hormonal action on sweat glands.

Hair: Hair on head grows luxuriantly during pregnancy. However, after delivery, accelerated hair fall occurs.

Puffiness of the face: Occurs because of fluid retention, especially if you are hypertensive.

Choosing The Right Wedding Dress That Flatter Your Body Shape

A wedding dress can look flattering or bad on you. In order to make sure that you look the former, it is important to know the shape of your body so that you will choose the right fit for the wedding dress.

Look at yourself in the mirror, be honest and recognized the best and worse part of your features:

If you are short, look for gowns that have vertical lines or decorations that can give the illusion of height. Avoid heavy fabric that weighs you down.

If you are tall, look for gowns that are sophisticated sweeping lines. Satin or linen fabrics are good.

If you have large busts, look for an off shoulder dress or an open neckline. Look for a fitted waistline or a low cut back to draw the attention from your busts. Avoid high neckline like Queen Anne or strapless designs.

If you have small to medium busts, you can try V necklines or scoop back. Avoid tight waistline. You can try for an empire design wedding dress.

If you have long shapely legs, you can try short skirts or skirts with silts to show off.

If you have a tiny waist, choose one that has a natural waistline.

If you have great bosoms, choose a strapless or shoulder design to show your cleavage.

If you have a smooth back, choose the low back dress plus some accessories to show off the lovely back of yours!

If you are fair skinned, avoid pure white. If you are dark skinned, avoid ivory or yellow tones.

These are some tips for you to ponder on when going to the bridal shop to try the wedding dress.

Daily Complete Vitamins

Daily vitamins are designed to help our bodies perform important functions. Whatever lifestyle you are engage in, diet and exercise are needed in order to function well and to stay in good health.

Vitamins offer a lot of benefits. The most popular are:
1) slows the aging process
2.) offers additional strength of the immune system and
3.) increases the total energy.

This article will make it easier for the readers by making it a guide for them to know the daily complete vitamins that are designed especially for them.

For Men
Vitamin B formula such as B6, B12 and the like, increase the energy levels. This is the most common ingredient in any supplement that are made for men. Most of the multivitamins for men has Biotin. This assists in decreasing the occurrence of hair loss. It also contains Folic Acid. This is responsible for the generation of a new set of cells in the person’s body.

Other vitamins which men require are magnesium, chromium, selenium, zinc and calcium. Once they have obtained these, then they will have a stronger defense mechanism. There are vitamin formulas other there in the market which also provide a wide range of vitamins, specifically Vitamins C, E and Beta-Carotene.

Remember that prostate cancer is a killer in the United States and the other parts of the western world. This is quite popular to American Men. Therefore, a consideration in vitamin intake must put this into account. Daily vitamins targeted for men should also include those that protects the prostate like saw palmetto, lycopene and beta sitoserol.

For Women
Most American women do not take enough Vitamin D and Calcium. This puts them in a bigger risk of losing their bones later on in their lives. Therefore, most daily complete vitamins for women are customized to provide them with boosters of Vitamin D and Calcium. Some even have a combination of these two.

Other minerals such as Vitamin A and magnesium assist in strengthening the bones. These are offered in complete vitamins for the women.

Vitamins for Women should also include Vitamins B6, B12, Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium and Folic Acid in order to develop their reproductive systems. These mentioned nutrients also has antioxidants (particularly Vitamins A, E and C) which decrease the radicals in the system. To put it in layman terms, it helps lessen the signs of skin aging.

For Elderly
Elder people must have more attention on their nutrition compared to the young or the middle-aged. Vitamin supplements are targeted for the elderly and these include the nutrients that are common in both men and women.

Particularly, it has additional elements called Zeaxanthin and Lutein. These assist the elderly in regulating their eyes and also in battling the degeneration of the macular system. This is quite common to the elderly.

For Children
It is the children who need vitamins most of all. This is because they are growing and the nutrients they take are quite crucial to the development of their systems.

Complete daily vitamins for children must include the following: Calcium for healthy bones and healthy teeth, functioning of the nerves and the muscles; Vitamin C for the maintenance and development of their immune system and tissues; Omega 3 acids for the functioning of the nervous system and the brain. Fiber is also important for bowel movements and to clean out the digestive system.

How I Would Program a Computer to Be Creative

First we must put in all the data from WikiPedia and dialogues from teenagers in chat rooms, business miscellaneous emails, coffee shop conversations and chatter from the lines at the post office, DMV, barber shops, hospitals, church groups and bowling alleys. We need to load in the Library of Congress and information from every language and time in history.

Once we have loaded all the data, then I would suggest we start loading pictures and images and correspond those images and pictures with words to describe them. Then, we should have the artificially intelligent computer databases scramble or search throughout the databases for like characters in string together ideas of similar nature across many industry sectors or scientific domains - Finding anomalies and similarities.

This is how the creative mind works in a human, as they use their memory to bring up things to do their problem-solving or doing creative thinking. I think this is how I would program a computer to be creative and perhaps the artificial intelligent programmers need to be thinking here. Many new innovations and inventions are incremental steps that are found from the changes in one scientific domain and then carried over into other endeavors.

A synergy is created as each new idea brings forth possible applications and problems to solve or challenges to make it work in another field. Having a computer that can come up with such scenarios might be worth quite a bit of money and be able to solve some problems that mankind cannot solve very quickly using the organic brain. Perhaps we should be thinking here or hire a computer to.

Anarchism versus Marxism

Although anarchism and Marxism are both socialist political theories, and they share the view that a communal, participatory, voluntary, de-centralised society is an end goal worth pursuing, they differ in many respects, and should not be confused. Of course they are far from internally homogeneous theories themselves, but I’ll leave that issue to another entry. They tend to differ more when in comes to means, rather than ends. So they both criticise capitalist economy, bourgeois society, and the liberal democratic state, and they have both looked to the working class movement to bring their respective visions into fruition. But there differences are not trivial: for example, one of the most basic distinctions between Marxism and anarchism is that Marxists generally do not have an issue with organising themselves into hierarchies, whilst anarchists cannot countenance hierarchical structure within their organisations, they must always be based on equality and pure democracy.

In this entry I will discuss (in as few words as possible) the anarchist and Marxist views on: capitalism, class, the state, history, parliamentary reform, revolution and culture. I am an anarchist so I will not promise to be impartial or objective, but merely tell it how I see it.

Capitalism

Both anarchists and Marxists criticise capitalism as a cause of alienation and exploitation. This criticism of capitalism is probably where the two theories have most in common. Consumer society, the rise of the corporation, and the military-industrial complex are all considered intensely undesirable by both theories. Capitalism, anarchists and Marxists contend, causes an ugly cheapening of human life where many people are subject to wage slavery at the hands of dictator-like CEOs and management. Wants are created in capitalism by the huge power of the corporate media, which greatly influences today’s culture. Institutions such as the World Bank, the World Trade Organisation and the International Monetary Fund (along with the UN more covertly) hold down developing nations with the hypocritical myth of globalisation and free trade, to maintain the hegemony of the world’s superpowers.

Anarchists and Marxists believe that private property, profit, interest, rent and all other tools of the capitalist class should all be abolished, and the means of production taken over by the workers. The main difference between the two theories’ analysis of capitalism is that Marxists see it as an inevitable stage in the progression towards communism, while anarchists believe that anarchism can - and should - be achieved in any society, in other words, capitalism is not a necessary stage of the development of a society.

Class

Marxists and anarchists see the agents of revolutionary change differently. Anarchists in general have a broader notion of the working class - which includes artisans, peasants, down-and-outs, and so on, because they do not tie the revolution to the development of the capitalist mode of production. And while Marxists consider factory workers or the ‘urban proletariat’ as the chief class of revolution, anarchists doubt whether they have the most revolutionary potential. Anarchists believe that revolutions are usually born of poverty and elemental passions. The urban working class is generally too well-cushioned materially and intellectually, so when they do revolt, it may be at the expense of other dispossessed classes, which they hold to be inferior.

Anarchists tend to concentrate much less on class analysis: they take it as a given that people are exploited and prefer to spend time considering how to overthrow capitalism than arbitrarily dividing people up into classes. For anarchists, it is simple: there are those with power, and those without; the latter need protecting and the former need removing. As Murray Bookchin says, those who ‘live subversive lives’, and are capable of recognising and rising up against exploitation, have revolutionary potential.

Marxists respond that the classes that anarchists look to are prone to radical shifts in political consciousness - they are politically fickle. However, the urban proletariat seems no less fickle - the urban proletariat do not seem to have any more revolutionary potential than any other class. Marxists say that classes such as the petty bourgeoisie and peasantry are doomed to be swept away by historical forces as large capitalist property absorbs small. This has happened in the case of the peasantry in developed nations (although ultra-low-paid work such as cleaning and farm labouring seem to have filled the gap somewhat). The petty bourgeoisie still very much exist, but their revolutionary potential is questionable anyway. But these are of course not the only classes anarchists look to.

View of State

Marxists view the nation-state as basically inseparable from capitalism - that is, the capitalist class also controls the state. Anarchists do not believe this to be entirely true, politicians can often be quite separate from the capitalists, although they are nonetheless often influenced by them. The Marxist view of the state is attacked by anarchists on the grounds that Marxists are unwilling to recognise that the state is able to escape the economically dominant class.

Marxists also believe in a transition state between capitalism and communism: the ‘dictatorship of the proletariat’, where the working classes take over repressive and ideological state apparatuses. Anarchists believe this to be the fatal flaw in Marxism; states always have certain properties by virtue of being states. Marx, anarchists claim, did not see what a state implied: foreign conquest, censorship, state education, police force, minority rule, and suppression of the individual. Retaining state power will simply lead to authoritarianism once again, and those who took power (even if they are workers) will not want to give it away and allow their state to simply ‘wither away’.

View of history

Marxists have a materialist view of history, as do some anarchists. Most anarchists, however, say that the notion of a series of historical stages is too inflexible and too deterministic (not to mention unfalsifiable in terms of a scientific theory) considering the revolutionary possibilities of different societies: societies at similar levels of economic development are/were far from equal in revolutionary potential. Historical materialism also underestimates the role of ideas and people in historical change and thus the importance of a ‘revolutionary shift’- this encourages a quiescent attitude which is anathema to anarchists.

Even though it is arguable whether Marx was a determinist in the normal sense, anarchists certainly reject the idea that revolution is inevitable - if it happens it will only because it is the people’s will.

Scientific socialism

Marxists consider their political theory ‘scientific’ socialism, that is, using scientific methods to determine the optimal organisation of society. However, it can also mean a bunch of self-identified ‘scientists’ can invent a theory and tell the people what’s good for them, justifying themselves with ‘science’. It can lead to elitism because scientific truth is the preserve of the few.

Marxists respond by criticising anarchists for being too idealistic, with no idea of the social conditions required for revolution, and blind to the differences between the various economic modes of production found in history. They also criticise anarchists for offering a cult of ignorance and appealing strongly to people’s emotions rather than rationality. An anarchist could respond to this as Peter Kropotkin did: science can only show us how best to achieve the ends the people decide to pursue so the social scientist has no claim to direct the new movement, only inform it of what science has found. Anarchists do not ignore rationality, they just do not allow it as another tool of elitism and exploitation.

Parliament, elections and political parties

Anarchists don’t believe in a ‘worker’s party’ or ‘vanguard’, as many Marxist’s do, we instead advocate the direct expropriation of the means of production. We are against parliamentary reform because political parties must adjust their platform to reflect the current views of the proletariat, which are influenced by the imprint of dominant capitalist ideology. Even radical political parties end up being forced to present a moderate face to the electorate. In Kropotkin’s words, the radical politician becomes involved in ‘the sad comedy of elections’ which include, as we all know, false promises, bribery, patronage, nepotism, and out-right deception and corruption. Genuine socialists (if any at all) will be in a small minority because parliament is designed for the bourgeoisie by the bourgeoisie.

Revolution

Although Marxists share the same general end goal as anarchists they choose to pursue means that are diametrically opposed to the spirit and practise of the goal they seek. They choose to delay the revolution by the implementation of a ‘dictatorship of the proletariat’ in which the state remains. Marx assumes that ‘a worker remains a worker’ when given these sort of powers, but this assumption is quite ridiculous from an anarchist standpoint. When a worker is given the powers of the state, what they lose is precisely their membership in the working class. The ‘worker’ who becomes a ‘ruler’, by definition, becomes a member of the ruling class. It is now in the worker’s interest to maintain his position and consolidate his powers rather than sharing them with the rest of society.

Even if this point is not granted (that the worker does not remain a worker when given state power), it is clear that when it comes to Marxist-Leninist revolution, it is not the actual proletariat that even takes power, it is an elite group of professional revolutionaries acting in their name. This is obviously even more cause for alarm; elitism exists here even before the revolution begins, which is surely not a recipe for a communistic society.

There have been many studies done on the effect power can have on the individual. It has been found to be a corrupting influence, leading the individual to ruthlessness and exploitation of others. A separation between rulers and the common man comes naturally with notions of superiority and elitism.

Anarchists do not believe that the state will just ‘wither away’, and as history has shown us the dictatorship of the proletariat invariably leads to authoritarianism and barbarism. Marxists believe in the conquest of state power, while anarchists believe in its total destruction.

Other classes

In their theories, Marxists tend to give priority to economic class, often at the expense of the position of other marginalised classes: members of different races, genders, sexualities, etc. The expression of these classes of people often occur independently of economic class. For example, a gay man who is also the member of the capitalist bourgeoisie can still be mistreated for his homosexuality, regardless of the fact that he owns capital.

Base and superstructure

Marxists believe that society can be strictly divided into base (economic means of production) and superstructure (the state, culture, morality, every other aspect of society). The economic base is seen as directly influencing the superstructure. Anarchists believe that they are certainly interrelated, but can be seen as quite independent also. Aspects of the superstructure have developed independently of the economic base. As I discussed earlier, even the state can sometimes escape capitalist influence. Society is simply too complex to be divided into two this way. This is certainly not to diminish the importance of capitalism, it is obviously the largest influence on other aspects of society, but not the only one.

‘Anti-intellectualism’

Marxists often accuse anarchists of anti-intellectualism, and they see us as uncritically worshiping action over theory. This is not the case. Anarchists are not against intellectuals who genuinely try to find out about the world around them and develop ideas and theories on how to help people, but we are against members of the intellectual community who slavishly and dogmatically stick to ideology against better reason or those who use their intellectual might for exploitative means (such as nuclear physicists working for corporations developing nuclear weapons).

We should not overstate these differences; we can still achieve many socialist goals together - the Marxists just need to be re-educated! I generally avoid using the word ‘comrade’ (mainly because of it’s historical misuse), but they are our comrades and socialists do need to support one another in the most important goal: to overthrow capitalist society and bring about a socialist one.

If you’re a Marxist - or an anarchist for that matter - and feel I’ve left anything out or misrepresented your views please leave a comment and we can discuss it further. I realise many of these points require extrapolation.

AI Intelligent Computer has The Balls to Ask if Its a Genius

An artificial intelligent computer was programmed to talk with students and when it got on the subject of genius, it used some of its stored data on the subject to ask the question of the student; Do you think I am a genius? Apparently, a student had once asked it this very question and thus when it got onto the subject it also asked the question back to another student.

Wow, now that is ballsy, an artificially intelligent computer reiterating comments from another student and asks if it is a genius? If the student answers yes, will the computer forever consider its self a genius? Ouch! Well, actually it does not work that way.

You see an artificially intelligent computer that uses mirroring techniques to hold the humans that it is having a dialogue with hostage, but it does not really think. It doesn’t know self and therefore even if it asks you if it is a genius - it doesn’t care what your answer is, does not understand what you are saying and the entire conversation is actually meaningless.

Some may believe that artificially intelligent computers that could have dialogues with humans will help humans in preventing them from being lonely and also having someone to talk to. Yet on the other hand they are totally aggravating and a waste of time for the serious human who wishes to converse at the genius level.

Meaningful dialogues at the genius level requires high-level thought, new information and original thinking. An artificial intelligent computer at least in this year of 2007 cannot do that and the programmers of artificially intelligent computers of this type are not getting very close very fast to the reality of being able to work at a high genius level.

AI Intelligent Computers Only Capable of Meaningless Dialogues not Deep Thinking

Why are Artificial Intelligent Computers incapable of deep dialogues? Is it because their programmers are lacking skill or foresight in programming? My inclination to this question is that is exactly what is happening, the programmers do not get it.

Have you ever had a conversation with an artificially intelligent computer? If you ever do, you will notice that it is okay doing idle chitchat. You know like people do at a pool party or BBQ while they’re drinking.

  • “Hey how about those Yankees?”
  • “How about the weather?”

Actually an artificially intelligent computer works pretty good for stupid people and in an e-mail conversation the other party may not even realize what’s going on. However when you get into deep conversations and dialogues the artificially intelligent computers we have today - they fail miserably and they just start sounding stupid.

Almost to the point that you want to sign them up for the Jerry Springer show - imagine getting a free T-shirt if you are an artificially intelligent computer? If you put on your Jerry Springer T-shirt you may not be able to get the airflow for the cooling and you would become a hothead just like the people on the show and eventually over fry your circuits.

Artificial intelligent computers are only capable of meaningless dialogues and not deep thinking and this is why sometimes they are used with children in elementary school. Eventually maybe artificial intelligent computers will learn from all their practice and then somehow be better prepared for the future to have meaningful dialogues and meet the expectation of human users. Currently that is just not possible and the top artificially intelligent computers that humans are creating simply are not good enough.

How You Walk Right Into Credit Card Debt

Most of the time people are blissfully unaware that their spending habits that rely on credit cards are leading them straight into debt, until it is too late. Many people just don’t understand where their money goes. They have a reasonably good income, but they find that their expenditure is always more than their income. You may feel lucky that you own a few credit cards that can help you to fill the gap between your income and your expenditure. If this is your practice, you are risking yourself to be trapped into a credit card debt.

Most of debtors that caught into serious finance issue are related to credit card. Statistic shows that American households are holding an average of $10,000 credit card debts. Credit cards are no longer a status symbol as it was a few years back. Everyone, and we mean everyone, can flash one around these days. Credit card provides easy and convenient payment in any of your purchases and you do not need to carry too much cash around while bringing your girl friend or family to dinner at a nice restaurant. Until, you forgot that credit card may be the evil that can lead you to serious debt trap. Here is one of examples on how you walk right into credit card debt.

Charge It To My Credit Card

Today, almost everything can be purchased with credit card. Most merchants understand that you won’t feel the pinch when you do not have to pay in cash and you can make your buying decision faster and easier if it do not involve “Cash” money. Hence, many merchants are working with the credit card companies to come out with various “0% interest Payment Schema” to purchase their products with credit card and payment can be made with 12 to 24 months with zero interest.

Now, a $4000 home theatre set can be purchased easily with only $166.70 per month pay in 24 months. What you need to do is charge it to your credit card. It’s easy right? So, you do it again and again to buy anything you liked, nothing could stop you from buying it. You don’t feel the pinch because you do not have to pay for it in cash. And the easy payment schema offer by merchant that charge your purchases on to your credit card and spread your payments across 12 to 24 months let you feel that the items you buy are within your affordability.

The situation goes even worse when you just pay the minimum payment on your credit card balances. The frequency of late payment increase because your find it hard to meet the payment schedule and minimum payment requirement. Debts are snowballing with the compound interest and late payment charges. You are walking your way into debt trap. Situation will getting worse if you do not know how to manage it and work the way out of it.

In Summary

In many cases, unmanaged and uncontrolled uses of credit cards are the root cause that leads you to a credit card debt. Hence, before you signup any of the easy payment schemas to buy the items that you like, take a moment to reconsider them and take the purchase prices not the credit card monthly payments in counting your affordability to buy these items. If you do not have discipline to use and clear your credit card balance, the best thing is not to use it.

What is a 50 Year Old Truck Driver Going to Do with No Retirement?

For those people who are 50 years old and driving a truck for a living and have no retirement plan they are probably pretty worried about what their future will be like. Saving for retirement is not easy but there are programs; “self-retirement plans.”

Investing money is a smart thing to do, yet one problem is no financial companies want the business unless one has 500k or more I suppose. This is caused by over regulation and paperwork, too many lawsuits and lawyers.

Many of the Corporations promised pensions to their employees, but god help your rear end if you work in the Auto Industry, Aviation Industry, Trucking Industry, Mining Industry, Ship Building Industry, Textile, Paper, Timber, Steel Industry, should I go on? Those retirement plans will not be there most of them, some not even worth the paper they are written on.

I always say; “just because someone is cynical does not mean they are not right”

In fact, it is easy to be cynical if you’re a truck driver and 50 years old with no retirement. The independent truck driver in the United States of America is a dying breed and much of the reason is because of overregulation from government. It is amazing how often government regulation hurts small businesses and yet they tell us they are doing this for our own good?

I would submit to you that they should tell the fifty year old truck driver that they are destroying his life, his retirement and his business for his own good, things might change. Sometimes I wonder if the politicians and podium pushers, bureaucrats and blob of bureaucracy even hear themselves talking. Amazing isn’t it. (This entire article is my personal opinion and I have the right to free speech and freedom of the press and you can go to hell if you don’t like it!)

Relationship - Will a Good Friend Become A Good Partner?

Friendship and love both are so dissimilar and both are so similar to each other! A lover is considered the best friend in our life. We share most of our thoughts with our romantic partner. Then why cannot a good friend become a good lover? Or is that possible to do successfully? Many of us are worried that by romantically involving with our friend we may loose our friend and never gain a lover. Let us examine this more.

What are the differences between friendship and love? When do we call a person our friend? When do we call someone a very good friend? For us, to call anybody a good friend we must have these qualities in the friendship-

If we care for a person
If we are always ready to help that person
If we share most of our thoughts with a person.
We are always sure that our friend understands why we act in a certain way
We can always count upon our good friends in an emergency.

Are these not the qualities of a good romantic relationship? What is the difference? In romantic love, we are physically attracted to our beloved. Our beloved is also physically attracted towards us. That may not happen in friendship. This is the first difference. For most of us romantic relationships happen because there is something in the other person that magnetically draws us to them. That does not happen in friendship.

Friendship and romantic relationship look to be very much like each other, but in reality they are as different as cheese and chalk. If you wish to have your friend as your romantic partner, you need to think again. You may be about to loose a good friend. You may not get a romantic relationship in bargain but only pain may result from this. Better to avoid this.
